The event is conceptualized in three parts: Angela McRobbie will open the event with a paper on Tatjana Turanskyj’s film trilogy and film practice in relation to feminism, cinema and creative labour debates, followed by a screening of video clips from Tatjana Turanskyj’s trilogy.

Tatjana Turanskyj will then reply by commenting on her films and her approach to film making. “As a filmmaker I try to draw a precise picture of the times and society without working with the conventions of social realismsocial realism. Discourse and cinematic emotion are no contradiction.”

The final part will be a debate between Angela McRobbie, Tatjana Turanskyj, Eva Flicker and the audience.
